Rodrigo Cruz, Lead Pastor
Rodrigo’s story began in Monterrey, Mexico, where he was born and raised. He grew up in a Christian home but it was not until his mid teens that he decided to accept and follow Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He obtained a Law Degree at the University of Nuevo Leon and enjoyed practicing Criminal Law for several years. In 2006 his family and him moved to the United States while following his call into ministry. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and a Doctorate in Ministry degree at Wesley Theological Seminary.
Rodrigo and Kelly are blessed to have four wonderful children (RJ, Natalia, Gabriel and Benjamin). When he is not in church you can find him playing some golf, rocking a bass or coaching one of his kids sport teams. Rodrigo has a passion to listen and engage with people’s stories, and see where those stories connect with God’s story.
Trey Hockman, Worship and Arts Pastor
Trey lives in Lilburn, GA with his wife, Rachel, and dog, Toby. Trey has a BA degree in Church Leadership from LaGrange College, and has served in several ministry leadership roles, including camping and retreat ministry, children and youth ministries, and creating authentic and engaging worship experiences. Rachel has been on staff at Mountain Park United Methodist Church as the Associate Director of Children’s Ministry since 2014.
Trey and Rachel actively support each others’ ministries and are passionate about growing disciples of Jesus Christ.
Javier Muñoz, Outreach Pastor
Javier and his wife Lynneth were both raised in San Diego, Ca. life was far from perfect in the sunny state, both came from broken homes, with difficult childhoods while growing up going to church. Javier and Lynneth met in their early twenties, after Javier had started a life in Atlanta Ga. He moved to Atlanta at the age of 20, for a job opportunity. Javier would go back to California to visit his mother and on one of those visits he met his mother’s roommate, Lynneth. They then connected, started dating long distance (before smartphones) for about a year, then married and Lynneth made the move to Atlanta as well.
Javier has worked in multiple jobs: caregiving for the disabled, with the Fernando Foundation building teams for Power Soccer, a sport for disabled athletes, for Booster Enterprises as a director of operations, and Suntrust Bank. He is now the director at Parkview high school for Ng3, and has served at Ng3 for 3+ years, and is excited about serving as the outreach pastor for the Nett church. Lynneth is a stay at home mom, a Makeup Artist and Artist by trade, and is part of the worship ministry for the Nett church. They have 5 children, 4 boys, 1 girl. Needless to say, their life is busy. Having grown up in the multicultural city, that is San Diego, They both strongly believe the vision for the Nett church is possible, and that the church should reflect the diversity of the world God has created.
MacKenzie McKay, Children's pastor
MacKenzie was born and raised in Gwinnett County and currently lives in Loganville, Ga. MacKenzie graduated with B.A. degrees in Psychology and in Religious Studies from Georgia State University. For the last 10 years he has been involved in Children’s Ministries, served as a Youth Worship Leader, Teen Bible Quiz coach, and as a musician in adult ministries at Evangel Community Church. Since 2012, MacKenzie has worked full-time for a non-profit called the Path Project, community development centers which serve several of the local at-risk neighborhoods in the area after volunteering there for several months prior.
MacKenzie has a passion to see the development of kids into strong men and women as they seek and explore the plan that God has for their lives.
AJ Hillis, Youth and Young Adult Pastor
AJ has been a part of ministry his entire life. He grew up in Conyers, GA but now lives in Snellville. AJ has been singing in church since the age of 5, and has been helping lead worship since middle school. He graduated from Brookwood High School in 2009, and has recently gone back to school and is attending Georgia State College. AJ and his fiancé Leslie will be getting married this coming May. They are both so excited about their new journey with The Nett Church, and cannot wait to see the outpouring of God’s love in the community.
AJ has had a burning passion for young people and working with/mentoring them ever since he became a leader in his youth group at church during high school. He feels a very strong connection with both youth and young adults and is really looking to impact their lives’ in a very positive way.
